48V starter-generator already replaced (updated part) on a 2018-2020 build — single biggest paperwork item on the gen (same as A6 C8). Without BSG replacement the car carries 10-15% catastrophic-failure risk; 2024 class action warranty covers it free.
Post-2021 build with the refreshed 48V starter-generator + a water-pump receipt — same A6 C8 logic. Post-2021 builds skip the worst of the 2018-2020 BSG window; aluminium water-pump replacement is the B9-family preventive.
