Price range
P75 → P25 of asking — the middle half of listings at that age sits inside this band. Outliers above and below excluded.
Down payment
MAS Notice 642 LTV cap applied to the age's median asking: 30% when OMV is up to S$20k, 40% above. Max loan tenure 7 years. Rows marked * mix both OMV buckets — we display the conservative 40% figure so the quote never under-states what a luxury-OMV listing at that age would actually require.
Availability
High when this age's listing share is ≥1.5× the model's uniform expectation, low when ≤0.6×, medium otherwise. Model-relative, so an evenly-spread model lands all-medium.

Brand reliability
Consumer-survey composite — JD Power · WhatCar · Consumer Reports. Same score for every variant of a given make.
Resale strength
100 − 3× annualised tangible-decay (COE-stripped). Fitted from each variant's asking-price-by-age regression then averaged at model level.
Peer set
Every same-segment model with ≥5 active PARF listings whose variants fit a depreciation curve. Practicality isn't plotted — it's a body-shape constant within the segment, so it would be the same for every dot.
Quadrants
The crosshair marks the segment median on each axis. Top-right (Safe Bets) is strong on both; top-left (Hidden Gems) holds value above what the brand reputation suggests; bottom-right (Bargain Buys) is well-built but depreciates fast — buy cheap; bottom-left (High Risk) is soft on both.

Verdict

Newest-gen BMW X2 — same UKL3 / FAAR platform as the curated X1 U11. Coupe-styled sister with same B38 / B48 + 48V mild hybrid + iDrive 8. All X1 U11 buying checks carry over. M35i with high-output B48 (300hp) is the halo trim. Cars 0-2 years old; same first-2-year teething window applies. Lower roofline + sportier styling vs X1 U11 but mechanically identical underneath.

What's good

  • Post-2024 build with documented BMW dealer service — same X1 U11 logic. Post-2024 cars + SG dealer trail = lower-risk pick on a new platform.
  • Documented ≤15k km oil intervals + LL-04 oil grade — same B48 chain-guide rule as every UKL platform (X1 F48/U11 / 1-Series F40 / Mini Cooper).

What to watch

  • Oil changes stretched to BMW's 30k km interval — too long for SG heat — same too-long-for-SG-heat pattern. Treat as if a chain-guide refresh is on the horizon.
  • Parallel-import U10 with no SG dealer service or recall trail — new platform + parallel import = uncertainty band on early-build software / TSB updates.

Verdict

Mechanically the coupe-styled sister of the X1 F48 — same UKL2 platform, same B38/B48 engine family, same 8-speed Aisin automatic. All X1 F48 buying checks carry over: B48 oil-discipline rule (≤15k km intervals beat BMW's 30k spec), plastic coolant hose head→expansion tank thermal failure, post-2017 cars with the F48 mid-life refinements. M35i F39 uses the same high-output B48 (302hp) as 1-Series F40 M135i. Lower roofline + sportier styling vs X1 but mechanically identical underneath.

What's good

  • M35i F39 (high-output B48) with documented ≤15k km oil intervals — same B48 family as M135i F40, X1 F48 30i trims, X3 G01 B48 trims. Halo trim of the gen with the same oil-discipline rule that doubles realistic chain + turbo life.
  • Post-2019 X2 F39 with recent coolant-hose service receipt — the plastic head→expansion-tank hose is the specific UKL2 failure mode. A car with the receipt is materially de-risked; same logic as X1 F48 entry.

What to watch

  • Oil changes stretched to BMW's 30k km interval — same chain-guide-life rule as every B48 platform (X1 F48 / X3 G01 / 1-Series F40 / Mini Cooper F55/F56). Recommended interval too long for SG heat; treat as if a refresh is on the horizon.
  • Coolant smell, damp engine bay, or unexplained low coolant — plastic head→expansion-tank hose failure. Cheap part, expensive labour. S$800-1.5k done properly; budget if undocumented. Same flag as X1 F48.

Common questions about the BMW X2

How much does a used BMW X2 cost in Singapore?
Most used BMW X2 on the market are around 8 years old, asking roughly S$61k–S$68k (typically about S$65k). That's the age with the widest choice — and the most sellers competing, so it's where you'll have the most room to bargain.
How much does a used BMW X2 depreciate per year?
A used BMW X2 loses value at a fairly steady pace — around 22% a year — with no real plateau. An older one costs less but keeps falling at much the same rate, so there's no single 'bargain age': buy on price and condition, not on timing.
Is the BMW X2 reliable?
In our read, the BMW X2 scores 55 out of 100 on brand reliability. That still varies by generation and how the individual car was looked after, so always check the service history before you commit.
What should I expect to pay for a used BMW X2 with a given mileage?
It depends on the exact variant, age and mileage — a higher-mileage car should ask less. Use the price modeller on this page to get a fair-price range for a specific age and mileage, so you know what to offer.
Where do these BMW X2 figures come from?
They're worked out from current used-BMW X2 listings in Singapore — asking prices, mileage and registration years — not past transaction prices. We refresh them regularly, and we flag thin data rather than guess.
