- Generation
- Tap a generation (↓) to jump to its full breakdown below; the colour maps back to the timeline strip + legend above.
- Price range
- P75 → P25 of asking — the middle half of listings at that age sits inside this band. Outliers above and below excluded.
- Down payment
- MAS Notice 642 LTV cap applied to the age's median asking: 30% when OMV is up to S$20k, 40% above. Max loan tenure 7 years. Rows marked * mix both OMV buckets — we display the conservative 40% figure so the quote never under-states what a luxury-OMV listing at that age would actually require.
- Availability
- High when this age's listing share is ≥1.5× the model's uniform expectation, low when ≤0.6×, medium otherwise. Model-relative, so an evenly-spread model lands all-medium.

- Brand reliability
- Consumer-survey composite — JD Power · WhatCar · Consumer Reports. Same score for every variant of a given make.
- Resale strength
- 100 − 3× annualised tangible-decay (COE-stripped). Fitted from each variant's asking-price-by-age regression then averaged at model level.
- Peer set
- Every same-segment model with ≥5 active PARF listings whose variants fit a depreciation curve. Practicality isn't plotted — it's a body-shape constant within the segment, so it would be the same for every dot.
- Quadrants
- The crosshair marks the segment median on each axis. Top-right (Safe Bets) is strong on both; top-left (Hidden Gems) holds value above what the brand reputation suggests; bottom-right (Bargain Buys) is well-built but depreciates fast — buy cheap; bottom-left (High Risk) is soft on both.

Verdict
Newest-gen GLA on MFA2 platform — shares the M260 1.3L / 2.0L engine family + 8G-DCT with A-Class W177, CLA C118, and GLB X247. All M260-platform checks carry over: 15yr/150k mi extended warranty on the cylinder head (Daimler-issued for cooling-related cracking issue), 8G-DCT cold-start jerkiness, MBUX infotainment glitches. KBA 011460 diesel crankshaft recall affects pre-2021 diesels. The newer 8G-DCT is materially better than the older 7G-DCT in the W246 B-Class / W176 A-Class era.

What's good
- Build with M260 cylinder-head extended warranty still active (15yr/150k mi from build date) — same matrix-wide warranty across CLA C118 / A-Class W177 / GLB X247 / GLA H247. Coverage means the most-expensive M260 platform issue is on Daimler's tab until the deadline.
- Petrol trim with documented MBUX software refresh history — early-build infotainment glitches were addressed by software updates. A car with the receipt is materially de-risked vs one without; the petrol trims sidestep the diesel KBA recall paperwork.
What to watch
- A pre-2021 diesel with its crankshaft recall not yet done — German federal recall for diesel crankshaft failure mode. Verify via VIN at Mercedes Cycle & Carriage; without closed paperwork walk away.
- 8G-DCT cold-start cabin shudder or jerky 1-2 shifts — less common than the older 7G-DCT but still possible. Mechatronic / clutch-pack work S$3-5k locally; persistent symptoms past warm-up are the diagnostic.

Verdict
Same M270 + 7G-DCT platform as the CLA C117 — cold-start chain rattle is the gen-defining viewing check, DCT fluid history is the second. GLA-specific watch-out: A/C compressor often fails around 100k km, expensive on a car this size. Post-2015 builds are materially better.

What's good
- Post-2015 GLA 200/250 with documented chain + DCT fluid service — the M270 chain wear concentrates in the earlier 2013-2014 builds; later cars with the work in the book are the safer pick at this age.
- GLA 220 CDI / 220d (OM651 diesel) — the diesel sidesteps the M270 chain story entirely + holds up well to high mileage; the better choice if the buyer's use-case suits diesel.
What to watch
- M270 with cold-start metallic rattle or unrecorded DCT history — same engine + gearbox issues as the CLA; the lemon trail starts here. Walk unless the asking already discounts a full chain + tensioner rebuild.
- 8+ year GLA with weak A/C cooling or compressor noise — A/C compressor commonly fails around 100k km on this gen; the part + labour is materially more than other compact SUVs. Budget S$2-3k if undocumented.

Common questions about the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class
- How much does a used Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class cost in Singapore?
- Most used Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class on the market are around 7 years old, asking roughly S$75k–S$88k (typically about S$80k). That's the age with the widest choice — and the most sellers competing, so it's where you'll have the most room to bargain.
- How much does a used Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class depreciate per year?
- A used Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class loses value at a fairly steady pace — around 22% a year — with no real plateau. An older one costs less but keeps falling at much the same rate, so there's no single 'bargain age': buy on price and condition, not on timing.
- Is the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class reliable?
- In our read, the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class scores 60 out of 100 on brand reliability. That still varies by generation and how the individual car was looked after, so always check the service history before you commit.
- What should I expect to pay for a used Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class with a given mileage?
- It depends on the exact variant, age and mileage — a higher-mileage car should ask less. Use the price modeller on this page to get a fair-price range for a specific age and mileage, so you know what to offer.
- Where do these Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class figures come from?
- They're worked out from current used-Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class listings in Singapore — asking prices, mileage and registration years — not past transaction prices. We refresh them regularly, and we flag thin data rather than guess.
