Price range
P75 → P25 of asking — the middle half of listings at that age sits inside this band. Outliers above and below excluded.
Down payment
MAS Notice 642 LTV cap applied to the age's median asking: 30% when OMV is up to S$20k, 40% above. Max loan tenure 7 years. Rows marked * mix both OMV buckets — we display the conservative 40% figure so the quote never under-states what a luxury-OMV listing at that age would actually require.
Availability
High when this age's listing share is ≥1.5× the model's uniform expectation, low when ≤0.6×, medium otherwise. Model-relative, so an evenly-spread model lands all-medium.

Consumer-survey composite — JD Power · WhatCar · Consumer Reports. Same score for every variant of a given make.
Resale strength
100 − 3× annualised tangible-decay (COE-stripped). Fitted from each variant's asking-price-by-age regression then averaged at model level.
Peer set
Every same-segment model with ≥5 active PARF listings whose variants fit a depreciation curve. Practicality isn't plotted — it's a body-shape constant within the segment, so it would be the same for every dot.
Quadrants
The crosshair marks the segment median on each axis. Top-right (Safe Bets) is strong on both; top-left (Hidden Gems) holds value above what the brand reputation suggests; bottom-right (Bargain Buys) is well-built but depreciates fast — buy cheap; bottom-left (High Risk) is soft on both.

Verdict

New-gen GLC successor to the curated X253 — built on the MRA2 platform (same as C-Class W206). M254 turbo + 48V ISG mild-hybrid on every petrol trim. Inherits the W206 era launch-window concerns: wiring-harness + fuse-box recalls (fire risk on early builds), 48V battery grounding / ISG whine, MBUX freezes. Verify all recalls closed via VIN. Post-2023 builds with refreshed software are materially cleaner. AMG 43 + 63 trims with M139 high-output engine on the way to be the cult performance picks.

What's good

  • A post-2023 build with all recalls (harness, fuse box, software) closed off — same logic as W206 C-Class. The early-production recalls have been addressed on later builds. Cleanest used GLC X254 pick combined with full Mercedes service trail.
  • The 48V mild-hybrid battery still inside its separate 4-year warranty — same W206 logic. Mercedes carries a longer warranty on the 48V battery; if the original build date keeps the car inside that window, the most expensive electrification component is still covered.

What to watch

  • Wiring-harness and fuse-box faults — two known fire-risk recalls, same platform as the W206 — usually the 48V battery ground / ISG. Caught early it's a wiring fix; left long it's a battery replacement at S$3-4k. Insist the symptom be diagnosed before purchase.
  • An early-2022 build with vague recall paperwork — the launch year carries fire-risk recalls — the W206 / X254 platform's launch-window recalls are fire-risk. Walking without verifying recalls closed is the rational default.

Verdict

Facelift cars (2019/2020+) with the M264 EQ Boost are the safer pick — the engine story settled with the refresh. Pre-facelift 2015-2017 GLC 250/300 with the M274 carry the gen's piston-wrist-pin + cracking story; engine knock or excessive oil consumption at viewing is a deal-breaker.

What's good

  • Facelift (2019/2020+) GLC 200/300 with M264 EQ Boost (48V mild hybrid) — the M264 replaced the M274 in the facelift; addresses the wrist-pin/piston quality issues that hit the early M274 builds hardest.
  • M276 V6 trims (GLC 350 / GLC 43 AMG) — sidesteps the M274 four-cyl story entirely; the M276 V6 carries the W204/W205 V6 reliability lineage.

What to watch

  • Pre-facelift 2015-2016 GLC 250 / GLC 300 (M274) with engine knock or excessive oil consumption — these are the model-years with the highest piston-cracking concentration; the failure mode is catastrophic. Walk unless heavily discounted with recent rebuild receipts.
  • Early X253 (2015-2016) with knocking or squeaking from front suspension — early-build cars commonly report front-suspension noise that needs bushing or strut-mount work; budget for the visit.

Common questions about the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class

How much does a used Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class cost in Singapore?
Most used Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class on the market are around 8 years old, asking roughly S$80k–S$96k (typically about S$86k). That's the age with the widest choice — and the most sellers competing, so it's where you'll have the most room to bargain.
How much does a used Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class depreciate per year?
A used Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class loses value at a fairly steady pace — around 22% a year — with no real plateau. An older one costs less but keeps falling at much the same rate, so there's no single 'bargain age': buy on price and condition, not on timing.
Is the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class reliable?
In our read, the Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class scores 60 out of 100 on brand reliability. That still varies by generation and how the individual car was looked after, so always check the service history before you commit.
What should I expect to pay for a used Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class with a given mileage?
It depends on the exact variant, age and mileage — a higher-mileage car should ask less. Use the price modeller on this page to get a fair-price range for a specific age and mileage, so you know what to offer.
Where do these Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class figures come from?
They're worked out from current used-Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class listings in Singapore — asking prices, mileage and registration years — not past transaction prices. We refresh them regularly, and we flag thin data rather than guess.
